The fermented tea drink as a beauty booster

Many people only know kombucha as a tea drink that strengthens and refreshes the body from within. However, renowned cosmetic companies have long been using the tea fungus in face masks, facials, and toners. They value it for its bacterial cellulose. Here are some interesting ways to use kombucha!

Kombucha mask in a glass on a plate Cloth for applying the kombucha mask

Face mask – Let your complexion glow with kombucha

A face mask can help balance your skin's pH and kill potential bacteria that cause pimples and other blemishes. You should take extra care of your skin, especially on cold days.

You need this for 2 applications:

Here's how it's done:

First, grind the SCOBY and half of the kombucha in a blender. Then slowly add the coconut oil and blend everything into a creamy mixture. Before applying the face mask, we recommend thoroughly cleansing your face with water. Now, apply the mask evenly. After letting it work for about 10 to 20 minutes, gently rinse off the mask and pat your face dry.

Caution! Be careful not to get the mask in your eyes, as this could burn.

Soothing body lotion with kombucha

Hasn't this happened to you? Too long in the sun and your skin becomes extremely dry and damaged! With this lotion, you can care for your body and quickly provide it with moisture and nutrients on cold days. The many organic acids contained in kombucha, such as gluconic acid, acetic acid, lactic acid, and other organic acids, can help with your skin's cell regeneration.

This is what you need for 1 bottle of lotion:

Here's how it's done:

It's best to get a small 100 ml glass bottle and shake vigorously to combine the jojoba oil and kombucha. Then, you can pamper your skin with the resulting mixture and massage the lotion into your skin.

Tip:

In addition to jojoba oil, you can also mix Greek yogurt or organic low-fat curd with kombucha and the pureed SCOBY. Add a little cold-pressed olive oil, and your moisture booster is ready!

Kombucha – Foot Bath

Easily care for your tired feet with kombucha. All you need is a bathtub or a small bowl, and you're ready to go!

This is what you need:

  • 250 ml very acidic kombucha or alternatively 150 ml kombucha vinegar
  • 1 cup Epsom salt or alternatively other mineral salt
  • Eucalyptus oil or another natural essential oil of your choice

Here's how it's done:

Simply add both ingredients to warm water in a bathtub and soak your feet for 10 minutes. Your skin will feel super soft afterward.

Kombucha – Hair Conditioner

This is what you need:

  • 100 ml natural unpasteurized kombucha
  • 100 ml water

Here's how it's done:

Super simple! You put the kombucha and water in a bowl. Mix everything together and then wash your hair with the mixture as usual. Massage it in thoroughly, then leave the conditioner on for 6 minutes. Then rinse thoroughly.

Have fun with the pampering program ;)
